In some villages in the Pyrenees, the traditional one-room schoolhouse is still in operation, just as it was in the past. One classroom, one teacher, and a handful of children of all ages who play, learn, and have fun together. This is how it is and will remain, as long as the school and the village stand.
This feature-length documentary explores rural one-room schooling. Co-produced with Aragón Televisión, in collaboration with the City of Zaragoza.
Premiered at the Espiello Ethnographic Film Festival in Boltaña, where it won the Pirineos Award. Selected at various festivals, including the Biosegura Film Festival and the London Labour Film Festival, where it was also awarded. Currently available on Filmin.
